Update

Soooo I haven't updated in a while. Sorry about that–it's been busy!
So at the beginning of March, LU concert choir went on our choir tour to Oklahoma City which was pretty awesome. Our choir got standing ovations at both performances and we've received nearly 100 emails from acclaimed choir directors, and i got to see my high school choir director again which was really exciting. We were mostly excited though, to go somewhere that was 75 degrees! So here are some pictures of us at the convention/hanging out in the warmth.

RLA stuff is alright...I miss working with freshmen and I just turned in my application for next year and asked for one of the freshman dorms. But until then I am having some fun programs. For Pi day (3.14) we made pi(e)s which was pretty awesome

As you could see in those pictures earlier, my hair has gotten quite long

...and so today I went and got rid of all of it...new spring haircut!

Also for several reasons I've ended up dropping my B.A in French so I'll be graduating next spring with a B.M in Vocal Performance. I was freaked out about it but then more and more I realized that I'm excited about it. Music was what I planned on doing anyways and the French degree was a safety but actually making it really difficult for me to practice and get enough done for my vocal stuff. I'm going to keep taking French classes though (mostly because I feel so cool when I can sit around reading books in French). So yeah! that's what's going on in my life these days!

Spring break!

So we went to Memphis! We played a show at Rhodes college and were on the radio, but the recording quality was somewhat awful. If you wanna give us a listen, you can check out our myspace here. We're playing another show on May 3rd and then I need to take a break so I can get all geared up for my recital. But...here are some pictures from our trip!

This is a terribly hard to see picture...but it was the first time Jordan and I saw the St. Louis arch...from the highway...and we wanted to commemorate our massive adventure (it was about a 12 hour drive)

here's the mighty volkswagon that transported us safely from the top to the bottom of the country

We went to Sun Studios which was pretty fantastic. Dan (on the right) was geeking out about all the old recording equipment and took about 25 pictures of microphones with my camera which I have chosen to omit from this entry...

So we also went to the Gibson factory and saw a bunch of guitars getting made. Dan and Jordan were playing with the fancy schmancy guitars...except Jordan tries to play guitars like they're violins :)

you can drive all night and still be at lawrence...
Look! The mighty Mississippi!

Jordan and Beale St!

This was inside this awesome old general store that really hasn't changed much since the 1920s and sold literally everything you could want. it was amaaaazing.
AND IT WAS GREEN! THINGS WERE GROWING!...when we got back to appleton it snowed.

This was us leaving appleton when it was freezing.
And here are some pictures from our gig at Rhodes. I know I'm invisible in the second picture but it's a good shot of the accordion.
